What can I expect at a market appraisal during the CV pandemic?

What can I expect at a market appraisal of my property during the CV pandemic?

We expect all face to face appointments relating to the sale and purchase of property to change for quite some time. We recommend vendors familiarise themselves with the new rules to allow them to continue to enjoy the sale and purchase of property with as little disruption as possible. click here for the latest Government guidelines.

You are responsible for your own safety & the safety of those around you. If you have any symptoms you must not leave your home or invite anyone in and you must follow the government guidelines regarding self-isolation. Stay alert & stay safe.

All agents have their own approach to following the guidelines but every agent should follow them to the letter. Here are a few notes on what to expect from market appraisals with Wishart Estate Agents:

Property preparation prior to all appointments

On the day of any confirmed face-to-face appointments, Wishart Estate Agents politely request that the property is cleaned as thoroughly as possible with antibacterial cleaner, including all door handles, handrails, and work surfaces. Doors and cupboards are to be left open to minimise the need to touch and windows are to be opened to allow for ventilation to reduce the risk of transmission. Uncontained pets must be away from the property.

On the market appraisal

Vendors will need to open all doors and turn lights on if required prior to our arrival.

Vendors are to meet with our valuer outside of the property, maintaining a minimum of 2m social distancing at all times.

Wishart Estate Agents valuer will enter the property alone to assess the property using ‘no touch’ rules at all times. They will take photographs/videos to consult when providing your market appraisal figures following the appointment. Wishart Estate Agents will wear appropriate PPE. Hand sanitiser will be used prior to entering and upon leaving the property.

Wishart Estate Agents will then leave the property and call you to discuss the valuation by telephone at an agreed time.

Following the appointment vendors are required to antibacterial wipe all handles and surfaces as a precautionary measure.

We're looking forward to helping you with the sale of your property & thank you for your understanding during this time.
