As estate agents, we understand just how important feedback is to our sellers. After all, if you have had viewers in your home, you naturally want to know what they thought. Did they like it? Was there something that put them off? Could it be the one for them?

The truth is, we are just as disappointed as you are when buyers do not provide feedback. While we do everything possible to encourage it, ultimately, we have no control over whether someone responds.

What We Do to Get Feedback

At Wishart Estate Agents, we take feedback seriously and follow a structured process to make sure every buyer has the chance to share their thoughts.

First, we focus on building rapport during the viewing. Buyers are more likely to be open with us if they feel comfortable, so we create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and take time to understand their needs.

As soon as the viewing is finished, we log into our client-to-vendor app and share our own impressions with you straight away. Whether the buyer seemed enthusiastic, raised concerns or mentioned any sticking points, you receive instant insight even before the buyer has responded.

Shortly after the viewing, our system sends a text message inviting the viewer to share their feedback while their impressions are still fresh.

The following day, we make a personal call and send an email to give buyers another opportunity to share their honest thoughts.

For added convenience, buyers can also download our app and leave their comments quickly and easily.

From a Viewer’s Perspective

We completely appreciate that if you are viewing homes, life is busy. You may be rushing between work, family and appointments, and taking the time to provide feedback might feel like just another task.

However, we kindly ask you to consider how valuable your comments are. Even if the property was not right for you, letting us know why helps sellers understand the market and helps us guide them more effectively. It is also simply polite. Someone has prepared their home to welcome you in, and your feedback is a small way of showing respect for their effort.

Always Encouraging, Never Forcing

We always remind buyers how valuable their feedback is, both for us and for the seller. However, some simply choose not to respond. It is frustrating, and we share that frustration with our clients.
