We get lots of enquiries from aspiring estate agents asking where they should start on the path to their dream career. However if you’ve not started in estate agency yet, or your employer isn’t offering a high level of training, this blog will point you in the right direction.

Propertymark Qualifications

Conduct and membership rules

As residential estate agents and members of NEAE & The Property Ombudsman Independent redress scheme, we must comply with their Codes of Practice. It would be advantageous to familiarise yourself with these.

We must also comply with all laws relating to residential estate agency and in particular the Estate Agents Act 1979, the Consumers, Estate Agents and Redress Act 2007, GDPR, Competition Act 1998, the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 (CPRs), Business Protection from Misleading Marketing Regulations 2008 (BPRs), Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, Consumer Rights Act 2015, Energy Act 2011 (Green Deal) and all other current and relevant primary or secondary legislation.
