On the First day of Christmas my true love sent to me,a Partridge in a Pear Tree
Concerned your Pear Trees aren’t looking their best? Or the rest of your garden for that matter?
Don’t worry, despite the weather, at Wishart Estate Agents we know there are actually number of advantages to selling your home in the winter months, with fewer properties on the market in York and Tadcaster, there’s less competition for a start.
It’s just as important that the exterior of your home is well maintained in the winter months as any other time, here are a few tips to point you in the right direction.
- A simple bucket of warm, soapy water will clean up front doors and window sills ready for viewings. Make sure your window cleaner has visited before they finish for Christmas.
- Once the front door is clean, hang your wreath. Don’t shy away from tasteful Christmas decorations just because your property is on the market, they add a homely and welcoming feel. Think Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol rather than ELF!
- Clear your paths of fallen leaves, snow and ice prior to viewings. This not only shows courtesy to your viewers (and stops us slipping over!) but also makes the property look cared for and well maintained.
- Add hanging baskets or pots of Winter Pansies to the front of the property, they create kerb appeal and a welcoming first impression.
INSIDE SECRET:
