On the second day of Christmas my true love sent to me, Two Turtle Doves...
Imagine relaxing in your country cottage this winter with a mulled wine, enjoying the view of your bird table. Potential purchasers love a view which includes a busy bird table. It’s just one of those things viewers like to see, it’s relaxing and tranquil somehow.
Not everyone buys into subliminal messages but at Wishart Estate Agents we know evocative features allow viewers buy into a new way of life. Buying a home is an emotional process for most, we recommend you tap into those emotions when preparing your home for sale.
Do you like the bird table idea? Here are a few tips:
If you have a bird table, keep it well stocked. If not, a few fat balls hung around a fence or a tree will work just as well. You’ll also be doing your bit for the environment, the RSPCA encourage leaving out a regular supply of food and water during cold spells to help save the lives of birds.
If you already attract a lot of bird guests to your garden, you should keep up regular housekeeping duties on their behalf. The last thing a viewer wants in a potential new home are ‘decorated’ windows and a mountain of stale food stuffs all over the lawn. While birds are a welcome addition to any garden, rats and mice are somewhat off-putting to most! Monitor your food supply carefully. If the food takes days to clear, reduce the amount of food you're offering.
