An NAEA Propertymark qualified team!
Laura and Jenny have both been studying hard this last week in preparation for their next set of National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) Propertymark exams, which are due to take place in March.
Here at Wishart Estate Agents, we pride ourselves on the fact that every member of the team is either already an NAEA Propertymark qualified professional or working towards being so. This is something which really sets us apart in an industry where qualifications and becoming a member of a professional body are currently not mandatory.
Having completed the Level 6 Diploma in Residential Estate Agency and become a fellow of the NAEA, our director Lucie Wishart’s commitment to high standards is evidenced by her achievements as one of the most highly qualified estate agents in Britain.
She passes this commitment and enthusiasm on to each and every member of the Wishart team by personally guiding them through their NAEA qualifications and membership.
NAEA Propertymark have long called for government regulation of estate agents to ensure that everybody within the industry is licenced, adheres to a strict code of practice and holds an industry qualification equivalent to that of an A-Level.
Back in 2018 this looked to become a possibility when Housing Minister, Heather Wheeler MRP set up the Regulation of Property Agents Working Group to examine several key issues, including regulation and qualification. The group proposed a new regulatory framework to cover estate agents in the UK, which was later supported by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government
While these plans have since been delayed due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we still remain hopeful and look forward to the progress of this.
